Life journey of the Deputy President
Willie Madisha, the current COPE's Member of Parliament grew up in Atteridgeville township Tshwane, but now stays in Limpopo..
This is his second term as the Deputy President on COPE, following the 2019 COPE Congress.
Madisha studied teaching and served as President of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) for 12 years.
He also served as President of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) for 10 years.
• Currently, Madisha serves as member at Disciplinary Committee in the National Assembly since 2019
• He is also Member at Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,
• Member at Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, Science and Technology,
• Member at Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry in the National Assembly.
